Nearby Devil Anse ATV Resort and Devil's Backbone Adventure Resort provide riders with direct trail access to Rockhouse, Buffalo Mountain and Devil Anse. Overnight parking is not permitted at the staging area but there are several campgrounds that provide direct trail access. The main staging area is located in the town of Matewan, which has a fully staffed welcome center with trail maps, permits, brochures and merchandise. All trails are marked, rated and form multiple long loops with plenty of scenic overlooks. For the most part it is an easy ride, but some sections require an experienced rider.
